What the state and the county actually require
30 TAC §285.7 requires that any aerobic treatment unit be inspected every 4 months by a maintenance provider licensed with the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality. That's 3 visits a year, not "once a year if you remember." Health & Safety Code §366.0515 is the statute that lets your permitting authority tie your septic permit to a signed maintenance contract in the first place.
- Who enforces it here
- Parker County Permitting, 1114 Santa Fe Drive, Weatherford, regulates on-site sewage facilities (OSSF) in the unincorporated county.
- What gets checked
- Aerator function, chlorinator residual, spray head pattern, control panel and alarm, effluent quality.
- What we file
- A signed inspection report goes to you and, when required, to the permitting authority within the reporting window.
- If something fails
- You get a repair estimate on the spot. Most fixes happen same visit or within the week.
